Blakeney’s POP Art

This half term our focus in art has been POP Art!

After researching about his life and his creations, Blakeney class were inspired by Andy Warhol. Warhol’s POP art creations were often commercial products that brands wanted to be promoted. A famous piece created by Warhol was the Campbells soup tin. We enjoyed learning that King’s Lynn was home to Campbells Tower.

We decided to create our own Campbells soup tin design. Andy Warhol mainly concentrated on using tertiary colours in his work. We carefully thought about the colours we wanted to use in our designs and planned this in our sketch books. We used poster paint to add colour to our work.

We are very proud of the work that we have produced. We hope that you love our work too!
