The Royal Norfolk Show

On Wednesday, the performance group went to the Royal Norfolk Show to perform a 30 minute set of music and singing.  The performance is in another post!

The children had the opportunity to see and try a lot of things that they may not come across in school life, including the wide range of cow colours, sheep being sheared, carriage driving and show jumping as well as taking part in a competion with Falcon Cranes to name their latest lorry! (If one of the children wins, Falcon are going to bring the truck to school!) They even got a goody bag.  Thank you Falcon!

In the Discovery Zone they were able to try flower arranging, making a smoothie with a bike powered blender, tasting different kinds of wheat and seeing how long it would take to burn 5 calories.

We also had a look around the gardens and found our favourite, which was the Gruffalo garden – this was made by a UET school, Douglas Bader, and we were really impressed with it.

The show was started by the arrival of the RAF Falcons, and the children enjoyed seeing the parachutists come in with red smoke on.

All in all, it was a long, but brilliant day!
