Admissions
We follow the Norfolk County Council Policy on School Admissions.
Where admission is offered prior to compulsory school age, parents may defer their child’s entry into school until later in that academic year.
In the event of over-subscription for places in Greyfriars Academy the Governors will give preference to children living nearest the school according to the following criteria:
- Children with a statement of Special Educational Needs naming that school.
- Children who live within the designated area and:
- Have a sibling attending the school at the time of their admission.
- Have a sibling attending the local High school at the time of their admission.
- Have no sibling attending the school or local High school at the time of their admission.
- Children who reside outside the designated area and:
- Have a sibling attending the school at the time of their admission.
- Have a sibling attending the local High school at the time of their admission.
- Have no brother or sister attending the school or local High school at the time of their admission.
If you would like to apply for a place at Greyfriars Academy please contact admissions at the local authority.
It is important that you make sure that the local authority has received the application for a place for your child by the deadline set by the local authority.
If you are considering sending your child to Greyfriars Academy
please contact Ms Reynolds at the school office on 01553 773087 or email office@grf.unity-ed.uk for more information.
We are always willing to show prospective parents round the school and discuss any points of interest with them. During the present time we are unable to show prospective parents round during school hours, however we are more than happy to arrange a tour of the school before start or after the end of the school day.
