School Council

The school council at Greyfriars Academy is a group of  children who have been elected by their classes to represent the views of all pupils and work together to improve their school.

Each class at Greyfriars Academy will have 1 representative, that form part of this group, who meet at least once every half-term to discuss key issues that are important to the children.

Miss Stares leads the school council and is enthusiastic about the chosen representatives being able to recognise and talk confidently about their responsibility as role models, to exemplify meeting the behaviour expectations of our school (Safe, Ready, Respect) and to understand the importance of the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs.
