Our brand-new Autism Specialist Resource Base at Greyfriars Academy is known as ‘Wells’.
Wells currently caters for pupils in Key Stage Two only. Once our new building is complete, we will also open up to Key Stage One children.
All pupils in Wells are SEND, with either a diagnosis of Autism or demonstrating significant related traits.
Our aim is to support our students both in the SRB and in their respective mainstream classes, through structure, visual aids, and personalised care.
Placements in Wells are long-term and permanent; meaning once pupils become part of our school family, they are here until they finish their time at primary school.
We pride ourselves on being patient, child-focused and a ‘safe space’ for the children we work with.
We work collaboratively with families, mainstream staff, other agencies and, most importantly, the children to ensure high-quality, individualised and needs-led provision.
Brianne Pearson is the Lead Teacher for Wells: bpearson@grf.unity-ed.uk.
TO NOTE:
Places for pupils are decided through a referral process via Norfolk County Council. To find out more, please visit their website: Specialist Resource Bases (SRBs) – What is a Specialist Resource Base? – Norfolk County Council
